In Eastern traditions, a mantra is a sacred resonance — a phrase repeated until the wandering mind grows still. This collection translates that rhythm into the language of warp and weft.

Mantra follows a personal migration. After forty years in the sun-baked landscapes of Asia, Angeli Sowani's move to England turned her gaze inward, softening her work into abstraction. Woven into these pieces are the sensory echoes of two worlds: the resonant chant of Himalayan monasteries, the crisp gold of an English autumn, the quiet of moonlit water. Like Tibetan prayer flags scattering blessings on the wind, the repeating geometric motifs carry a sense of sanctuary.

Each carpet is handcrafted by Obeetee's master artisans in fine wool and pure silk — a contemplative canvas, and an exploration of memory, movement, and the threads that connect us to home.
