Banana Silk

Banana silk is spun from the fibers of banana plant stems, an unusual, sustainable material that gives rugs a subtle sheen and a slightly coarser hand than mulberry silk. Obeetee uses it mainly in runners and ombré-washed pieces, where natural fiber variation reads as texture rather than a flaw. Good if you want a sustainable, textural alternative to conventional silk.
