In that journey, we, Obeetee Carpets have been a part of more than a century now. In our PTBI collection, you will find all the designer rugs. Talking about this blog, we are to tell you about a new collection that we have recently come up with.

Blended with the idea and creativity of the couture king of India, JJ Valaya, and traditional craftsmanship by our weavers we have come up with a new collection called, ‘The Moors of Punjab’. Unlike our previous collaboration with JJ Valaya- Kapurthala, this collection of rugs is budget-friendly. Hand-knotted by experienced artisans, the set seeks inspiration from the patterns that once adorned the walls of the royal courts in Punjab. Each rug in the collection embeds intricate traditional designs but in a contemporary way. A few rugs from the collection are listed below for your reference-

1. Vrinda- Handcrafted by generational weavers reading in our home in Mirzapur, the rug stands out as an exceptional piece from the collection. Hand-knotted with precision, the piece embraces a vibrant color palette and a vibrant and modern appeal. The traditional charm of this rug is balanced by its design. Enclosed within the dark-shaded border is a design with blue leaf patterns spread across the canvas symmetrically and geometrically. Made with wool and silk, the rug is durable and comes with a lustrous sheen.

2. Nirvana- Hand-knotted in its construction by experienced weavers, the Nirvana is a wool and silk rug from this collection. Eacsulating the shades of the forest in its intricate design, the rug adds a natural beauty to your space. A design inspired by the patterns engraved on the royal palaces in Punjab, the rug is a transitional piece.
