One of the prime reasons why India has a rich heritage and culture is the Nomads. Nomads might seem like no one, but they are a group of people who connected the entire world with itself. In the olden days, people used to think that the Earth was flat, and if one reached the end of the ocean, they would fall off. Little did they discover a whole different nation on the other side. Nomadic tribes and travelers were the reason for this discovery.  These wanderers traveled the entire world for their survival. They always left something behind as they moved from one place to another. Many of these somethings were later discovered by the locals and were often adopted, leading to the introduction of something new in the existing culture. 

The world was similarly introduced to carpets. Turkish Nomads, when they used to build their tents, decorated their roofs with hand-knotted artistry. The king of Turkey, when he learned about this in the early 1300s, he asked his men to do this on the kingdom floor. The wave of carpet that started then is still going on, as carpets are an integral part of the decor industry today. Seeking inspiration and reference from one of the Nomadic tribes born from the Indian sub-continent, we launched the Gypsy Oasis collection.
