The preparations for Raksha Bandhan (which came early this year), Janamashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Diwali often begin during this time. You need a ragoli, some traditional floral arrangements, and a naturally lit diya decoration would add life to the place. While you are at it, a traditional-looking carpet would act as the icing on the cake that too with a cherry on top.
Further, if you plan to serve drinks, small peg tables can be placed for the guests to keep their drinks and deal comfortably hands.

2.       Comfort- Comfort is key. Irrespective of the visuals, every host needs to make sure that there is enough room for everyone to fit in. From those who stand to those who prefer to sit, everyone should feel the warmth and comfort. Enhancing your simple sofa with a set of cushions would not only make it look beautiful but also lend support to the tired backs of your guests. A carpet at the center of the seating area would allow them to place their feet on the floor but make them feel that they are floating on a cloud.

3.       The return favours- No one should leave empty-handed. As a token of love and respect, make sure that you get your guest a gift.
