Great minds think alike, but so do creative ones. Heritage, creativity, and art are what we have in common with Abraham and Thakore. From PTBI in 2016 to a ‘Stitch in time’ in 2024, we have collaborated actively with the brand. Beyond carpets now, we have launched a new cushion collection, inspired by the traditional, centuries-old weaving technique. Encapsulating the essence of the Eastern parts of the country, this collection truly displays A&T’s fine ideation and Obeetee’s craftsmanship. 

We have always said that cushions are like accessories for your interior. Just like handbags, rings, etc, enhance the personality of an individual, cushions do the same to your space. They induce comfort, accentuate the space with aesthetics, and add that finishing touch to the interior. For minimal-themed interiors, cushions are the best way to add patterns. Assisting in creating a visual balance, cushions bring out the eyes of a minimal interior. Whilst in a bold and statement-making interior, subtle cushions lend the interior that soothing vibe.

 

Kantha is a weave style that was born in West Bengal. It is one of the oldest weave styles in history. No one knew that a simple recycling technique of knitting different clothing items into other household usage items would one day be recognized on a global level. However, beyond its practical function, it was a way that women used to express emotions. The Cushion collection launched with A&T features the Kantha embroidery. Visually, the cushions look like 2 pieces of clothes stitched together in a raw form, but that’s the real beauty.

1.       Sky Kantha Rag Stitch- International grade cotton, modal, and velvet form the rag stitch structure of the Sky cushion cover. Crafted for modern homes, the cushion features the shades of the sky with single stitches spread across the cushion in symmetry. 3.       Aari Embroidery Cushion- The Black canvas enclosing a beige square creates a perfect contrast. Crafted using the Kantha weaving technique, the cushion comes with Aari embroidery. International grade cotton fiber makes the cushion comfortable yet vibrant, irrespective of its shade. A statement-making and bold accent, the Aari cushion cover dwells well in minimal interiors.

4.       Quilted Cushion Cover With Kantha Stitch- Crafted with all-over quilted lines on cotton velvet, which has then been over-layered with cotton voile strips and held down with hand running stitch, the cushion is one-of-a-kind.
