The process of getting a custom-made rug is exciting but also extensive. To give you a better understanding, below are the steps describing how we work. 

1.       Send us your design- Once you are connected with our team, you will be asked to share a few references with us. It can be a pattern, a Pinterest screenshot, elements of nature, a rough sketch, or anything that you have in mind. Following the design, we will need your floor plan, the weave style, material preferences, and the purpose of the rug, along with the colors you’d like on the canvas.

2.       Design Finalisation- Post receiving your design and understanding the purpose of the rug, our design experts get to work. Bringing the rough words, sketches, and references to life with the Obeetee touch, we finalise the initial draft of the design to run it by you. As per your weave preference, we decide on the number of knots in case of a hand-knotted carpet or the pile height in terms of a hand-tufted carpet, and present it to you.

3.       Spinning- The next step is getting the yarns ready. The selected material is spun into yarns, followed by a dyeing process. Once the yarns are ready, the threads are sent to the loom for the weaving process.

4.       Weaving- This is the step where your carpet is brought to life. The threads are woven together on a loom. Depending on the preference of your weave, the carpet is crafted. A hand-knotted rug from our house is woven at the weaver’s place. Sitting with his family, each knot holds a story and a personal touch. The tufted carpets are woven on looms using a tufting gun at the factory.

5.       Delivery- Post the top 4 processes, the rug is yours for the taking. In case of a housing project, the rug is delivered to your place by our team. For hospitality orders, a dedicated team visits the site and installs the carpet with precision.
